MAN Commercial Protection appears to encourage staff to post fake 5-star reviews on Google to mislead potential customers. Over four months, my colleagues and I observed and documented this behaviour, uncovering that many positive reviews came from family-related staff at their head office. We cross-referenced these reviews with LinkedIn accounts and identified individuals in senior positions within the company, confirming our suspicions. Additionally, we noticed at least 30 genuine 1-star reviews had been removed.
This deceptive practice, aimed at misrepresenting the company, is fraudulent and unethical. They also bribe employees with incentives like Love2shop vouchers to leave positive reviews, exploiting vulnerable workers, particularly around the holidays. Employees are pressured to work excessively long hours—up to 84 hours a week—violating Working Time Regulations 1998, all under the guise of doing them a favour. Despite their claims, they offer low wages and poor working conditions, which has left many unwilling to work for them. These dishonest practices create a false sense of trust for both employees and clients.
