Twitter services / The way it completed changed for the worse after Musk takeover
Since the site was acquired by someone I’d never heard of, I’ve noticed a disturbing rise in borderline racist content, with white supremacists and others, including some Asians adopting racist attitudes toward Black people. I’ve seen comments that seem extreme enough to warrant serious scrutiny.
Despite not searching for anything political and living far from the U.S., my feed is flooded with American political content. It’s baffling how the “For You” page claims to be tailored to me yet shows nothing but U.S.-centric political agendas, often from white supremacist viewpoints. No matter how much I block, mute, or mark posts as “not interested,” it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
My feed used to be full of art—exactly what I follow and enjoy. Now, I hardly see any art, just unwanted content. Additionally, the platform is overrun with NSFW material, despite being accessible to users as young as 13.
I highly recommend switching to Bluesky. Since joining, I’ve found it free of the toxic politics and irrelevant content dominating this platform.
