Man Commercial Protection services / security services
Tue 01 Oct 2024
This company lacks professionalism and organization. Recently, a Security Officer tragically passed away on shift, and while some staff with two years of service may receive £5k in such situations, other issues highlight serious concerns. They dock your pay even if you're just a minute late clocking in, assign duties you aren't qualified for, and underpay staff. Additionally, instead of offering overtime to their employees, they prefer hiring agency staff, claiming you're not trained for other sites.

Man Commercial Protection services / The quality of their guards
MAN Commercial Protection is a complete disaster in the security industry. It’s shocking that clients are paying for such chaotic and unreliable services. On weekends, especially Saturdays and Sundays, guards show up to work intoxicated, smoking, and treating their shifts as an opportunity to order takeaways and get paid for doing nothing.
During one of my shifts as a supervisor, I witnessed a guard playing cards with his cousins, watching movies on the site’s camera display TV, and later sleeping in his car with a blanket over his head. This level of unprofessionalism is appalling.
The company presents itself as a professional and well-trained security provider, but my experience—and CCTV footage—proves otherwise. Even after reporting multiple incidents to their disorganized head office, largely staffed by the owner’s family, they continue to deploy the same guards guilty of gross misconduct, without addressing the issues.
This demonstrates the deceitful nature of the company. Contract managers are equally ineffective, ignoring sound advice and failing to act promptly, which explains their poor reviews and lost contracts. MAN Commercial’s standard response to criticism is to dismiss it by claiming the reviewer has never worked for them—another clear sign of their inability to take accountability.
I strongly recommend avoiding this company; they are neither professional nor value for money.

Man Commercial Protection customer service / The way they get reviews - fake reviews
MAN Commercial Protection appears to encourage staff to post fake 5-star reviews on Google to mislead potential customers. Over four months, my colleagues and I observed and documented this behaviour, uncovering that many positive reviews came from family-related staff at their head office. We cross-referenced these reviews with LinkedIn accounts and identified individuals in senior positions within the company, confirming our suspicions. Additionally, we noticed at least 30 genuine 1-star reviews had been removed.
This deceptive practice, aimed at misrepresenting the company, is fraudulent and unethical. They also bribe employees with incentives like Love2shop vouchers to leave positive reviews, exploiting vulnerable workers, particularly around the holidays. Employees are pressured to work excessively long hours—up to 84 hours a week—violating Working Time Regulations 1998, all under the guise of doing them a favour. Despite their claims, they offer low wages and poor working conditions, which has left many unwilling to work for them. These dishonest practices create a false sense of trust for both employees and clients.

Man Commercial Protection services / The way they steal contracts from other security companies!
Fri 30 Sep 2022
This security company is supposed to be the largest security provider in the West Midlands. Other local security companies in Birmingham spend lot of money on marketing and networking to security contracts. These guys just scavenge and walk into sites and offer clients sometimes peanut prices. How they make money? I am not sure but I am certain one hundred per cent if they pay their guards legally, they can't take on sites with prices like £11.00 per hour.
